1960s Mid-Century SELIG of Monroe 7-piece vintage modular sectional

Incredible opportunity to own a 7-piece version of the vintage’playpen’ sofa from the 1960s/1970s. Low profile, modular sofa after essential mid century designer Milo Baughman for selig of monroe. Original coral velvet upholstery. This is a classic conversation pit style sofa, in excellent condition. Structurally sound, very well made with solid wood and steel framing. Heavy chair bases, with one large square cushion and one soft but supportive backrest cushion on each module. The corner pieces measure 27″t x 33″w x 33″d and the straight pieces are 27″t x 31″w x 33″d with a seat height is 16d. Bases are made of solid wood and steel, weighing around 55 lbs. Some wear as expected with age. Cushion foam in excellent condition, one seam separation on one of the seat cushions, easily fixed. Some staining in-between chairs, not readily visible. Happy to work with 3rd party, insured shippers, like those found on uShip.

Vintage’Interior Crafts of Chicago’ Milo Baughman style retro sofa sectional. This is a 3-section modular sofa, very cozy and versatile. Upholstery is geometric-patterned, rust/copper and navy on channel-tufted seat cushions and back cushions. All cushions are removable and have zippered, removable covers. Maker’s mark reads: “Interior Crafts Chicago” on the underside of each of the 3 sections. May have been reupholstered as material is in very good condition. Minor flaws exist, as is to be expected with any vintage, antique or pre-owned item. Minor wear is on the under side (bottom) of sofa, shown in pictures. Total sectional measurements : 155″W x 34″D x 25H. There are two 60″ wide sections and one 35″ wide section (measurement from left to right), all sections are 34″ deep (front of sofa frame to the back of sofa frame) and 25″tall (from floor to top of sofa frame). Each of the 3 pieces can be used individually, and configured in several ways. Total width 155 with all 3 sections combined. Please message me with any questions! Happy to help however I can. Shockingly comfortable 2 seater sofa. Acquired recently from single owner for 40 years. Restored to the best of my ability. Please note that one (1) screw and one (1) lock washer have been replaced and are not original. They are a slightly different color.. But I promise I went to great lengths to ensure these replacement parts are EXACT matches. I cannot replicate 40 years of tarnishing. The seats and arms are mounted on a steel bar that runs along the bottom. Totally modular, expandable, reconfigurable. Please note that the upholstery is NOT a removable slipcover. We had great success both steam cleaning (this has the bizarre added benefit of replumping the foam), and using “Spot shot, ” a mild carpet stain cleaner, to remove any discolorations that came up from time to time. Well cared for and recently steam cleaned. All noticeable damage shown in photos in HARSH LIGHTING to emphasize flaws. These minor flaws are not noticeable in normal interior ambient lighting situations. It’s a 40 year old sofa. All parts have been wrapped in plastic to avoid damage to the fabric. Reassembly is extremely easy. Just a few screws with an Allen wrench. I will be available to assist remotely if you need help. I promise it is straightforward. Taking it apart and packaging each piece carefully is the best way to avoid damage to the sofa. This will avoid any issues potentially caused by it moving around and slicing or tearing the fabric. This is the safest way to ensure you get the sofa you paid for. Exact number of parcels is TBD but you should expect 3-5 boxes, each weighing around 25-30lbs. Vintage Kenmar Modular Sectional Sofa. No stains, rips or other damage to the fabric. The foam is still soft and pliable with no hardening and no damage to the bases or table tops. Original receipt is dated 1969. Easily shift around seating areas and table tops to create a sectional that best fits your room. The longest section is 105″ long and 32″ deep. The shorter section is 80″ long and 32″ deep. The coffee table / foot stool is 31 1/2″ x 31 1/2″. The seat backs are 26″ tall and the seat height is 18″. This is the only modular sectional I have ever come across. The condition is near perfect! Past buyers have used uShip and Roadie with positive results. This very comfortable sofa is upholstered in a soft and supple brown leather and consists of six sections, which includes a corner unit, and can be arranged in a number of configurations. The corner section is 42″ wide by 36″ deep by 24 high. The five other sections are 26″ wide by 33″ deep by 24 high. The measurements as shown in the first picture are approximately 108″ long by 83″ deep. The seat height is 16. Very good vintage condition. No rips or tears to the leather, some light scuffs. These sofa Sectionals are beautifully upholstered with THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN BLUE and MAROON color fabric and are in very good condition. 1970′s Selig orange 6 piece modular sectional sofa couch. All original, never been reupholstered. Some minor stains as shown in photos. No rips or tears. All pieces have rollers, some half rollers, half legs. No fading or color loss. Some loose threads and very small stains as shown in pictures. 1 section with a back and no arms. 2 loveseats (2 sections worth) with arms on both sides and the other one has an arm on one side. Each section is approximately 27″ x 27″ x 17 tall. The backs and arms are an additional 9 above the cushion. Can be arranged in any configuration. No smoking, no pets.
