This charming “fainting couch” or chaise lounge is circa 1900. This chaise is unrestored. The condition is good considering it’s age (see photos). There is no makers mark. The consensus is the chaise was manufactured in Europe. The approximate measurements are 73″ long, 25″ deep, 30″ tall and the seat is 15″ high. Offered for sale is a walnut Victorian sofa c1870. This sofa features a beautifully carved crest rail with flowers and leaves. The vintage fabric does show some wear and fading. A sturdy sofa, there is a repair to the front legphoto 9 being solid I really don’t think it is an issue, but wanted to make you aware. Please view and enlarge all photos to get a good look. 15 inches seat to floor. Please remember that vintage items and antiques are treasures that have been lived with and loved for generations and will show signs of that love and use having minor imperfections and maybe a repair, which means the item has been loved and cherished for many, many years. A French Louis XVI style sofa. Original pieces from 1900. Hand carved beech wooden frame was finished with high-end quality gold leaf. Re-upholstered in silk with cotton damask fabric.
