Original parlor sofa from The Howey Mansion in Howey in the hills Florida. Owned by William Howey and monogramed WH. This sofa was part of the display in the Parlor Room in the mansion. During a wedding party they sat on it for pictures and did crack in the places in the pics I provided as shown. The sofa was found by me in outgoing disposal. I called and the curator did confirm that it is indeed all original and was owned by William Howey founder of the town Howey in the Hills located in Florida. In need of minor repairs can be lifted sure someone with some skill would love to have this one of a kind sofa. See pics for condition please. This was angrily put to disposal but was meant to be fixed.
Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival parlor Settee. Made from walnut with a serpentine form featuring a carved camelback with burled panels. Having a 2 seat settee with 2 matching armchairs. Each with scroll mahogany frame, upholstered rear and sides with loose cushions and standing a shaped leg ending in a pawed foot. Currently upholstered in a white patterned fabric but it is somewhat worn and has a few tears on outside of settee. Frame is in good condition but does show some signs of age and use. Set measures 27 wide X 39.5 X 25 deep for the chairs & 51 wide X 40 X 25 deep for the settee. Please contact me for estimates and or any questions. Prices will vary based on th. Very fine, high-end Renaissance Revival parlor set. This lovely, American three-piece parlor set, is walnut and burled walnut, with incised, gilded and ebonized decorations. Each piece of this set features the luxury detail of a round, hand-painted porcelain plaque with a bouquet of wildflowers as part of their center crests. The three frames are all original with no restorations, repairs or significant losses to the original finish. The two large armchairs and love seat are all comfortable and sturdy. This set is fresh from a fine Brooklyn brownstone and was recently upholstered by the last owners in fine fabric with costly details. This great vintage antique reproduction of a Victorian chaise lounge is a child’s size piece. It measures approximately 38.5″ long, 21.5″ tall and 13 deep. It has a couple of stains on the fabric and the end of it needs to be repaired as it has a missing stretcher and one has come loose, so the end collapses due to lack of support. This is simply outstanding the frame is original surface, the lines of this sofa are extrodinary! The carving is masterful which almost just comes alive when you look at it! The color for any parlor is perfect its simply fantastic, has some minor wear, should be cleaned, the surface is good on the frame some old repairs everything is solid and ready to go! This is simply a fantastic example of renaissance revival victorian furniture from approx 1870 62 inches wide 47 inches tall just stunning! The fabric which almost seems like some sort of silk (not sure what it is) is stunning, could use some cleaning maybe dirty in a couple spots no rips or tears, the frame is well carved simply wonderful work and original surface with great patina just he way you like it and wanna find it!
