The giltwood sofa is with new stuffing and white Belgian linen upholstery. Detailed scrolled ornamental top with floral bouquet finials, the back of the sofa divided into three large cushion framed, comfortable seating, strong body, the front legs with casters. The back in white linen as well. The entire skelton highly detailed and carved, figurative legs, arms. Appears in perfect condition. Seat height: 18 in. A quaint mid 19th century French Settee. Features a flared and carved giltwood frame with a light blue upholstering featuring a raised white velour floral leaf pattern. Includes classical Louis XVI motifs with floral medallions, turned and tapered legs ending in arrow foot/. Good Antique Condition with use related wear. Some marking distressing and rubbing to frame. Louis XVI Antique Giltwood Carved Pair Boudoir Chairs Original Aubusson Fabric. Original Aubusson fabric helps date to early to mid 19th century. Finely carved back columns and rosebud finials. The bottom of legs have metal taps the chairs stand on. Condition: Needs some TLC. Chair one leg has a joint wobble and repair to top back rail. Chair two had old repair to strengthen chair legs (see dowels). Both chairs need to be examined and repaired before accepting any meaningful weight. Delicate early chairs of this type are getting very scarce for obvious reasons. We are offering for your consideration this elegant filtwood antique pair of fauteuils. Either French or Italian, probably dating from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. These extraordinary chairs feature finely hand-carved details and a classic damask fabric that is in good condition with some fading. The back fabric is torn and it appears that some of the filling is missing. Some gold loss to the finish which has been lightly restored. Also one of the rosettes is missing on one of the legs. Stanford Furn. French Provincial Louis XVI Settee Carved Giltwood WithDuck Down

I’m very pleased to present these positively exquisite settees from the highly esteemed Stanford Furniture Corp. Made right’cheer in North Carolina! These are contemporary pieces designed to replicate French Provincial settees made in the King Louis XVI era and style, and feature many of the same exquisite details and craftsmanship used then, including: intricate hand-carving and heavily gilded gold paint throughout, nail-head trim, and the use of fine duck down feathers in the (back and seat) cushions. I’ve taken photos in two different lighting situations to give you a sense of the difference between low indoor light and voluminous outdoor light: each providing their own splendor in the way the settees appear. In excellent overall cosmetic and perfect structural condition: with a few surface scratches scattered here and there, in particular on the back neck area and around the feet; and a small what appears to be a sun-bleach spot on the bottom-side of one of the two cushions. Measures 45″ wide x 38.5″ tall x 31 deep. Please note / caveat emptor.
