Overall very good condition, tight and sturdy with possible old repairs; as photographed. Wear consistent with age and use. Measures – 41″h x 61″w x 28d.

Thank you for the interest in this item. Old Vintage Double Caned Carved Wood Settee Bench Sofa Louis XV Style Aubusson. LOCAL Pick-up on this item only. This is a nice old vintage carved wood framed double caned French settee sofa. The item has double caning on the sides and the back with single caning on the seat (see photos). The item includes the wonderful Aubusson French Tapestry pillow. The tapestry seat cushion has a wonderful floral decoration of roses and flowers. The item is part of an estate liquidation. This item is French in origin from France (see photos). The settee measures about 36 inches high at the top of the back side, is is about 2 feet from the front edge to the back side and it is about 47 inches wide. The wood portion of the seat is about 17 inches off of the floor it is about 21 inches high to the fluffy soft cushion. The seating area is about 20 inches deep and it is about 43 inches from side to side between the arms. The wood frame has some scuffs and some wear. The caning is in good condition (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice old vintage Aubusson Tapestry seat carved wood French settee sofa to add to your collection. I sell vintage, decorative and antique items. Louis XVI Antique Giltwood Carved Pair Boudoir Chairs Original Aubusson Fabric. Original Aubusson fabric helps date to early to mid 19th century. Finely carved back columns and rosebud finials. The bottom of legs have metal taps the chairs stand on. Condition: Needs some TLC. Chair one leg has a joint wobble and repair to top back rail. Chair two had old repair to strengthen chair legs (see dowels). Both chairs need to be examined and repaired before accepting any meaningful weight. Delicate early chairs of this type are getting very scarce for obvious reasons. These petite chairs measure approx. 32 inches in total height. 14 inches in width. 18 inches from bottom of leg to cushion height. We can meet you 1/2 way any location in Fl. French Aubusson Louis XV Style Settee from the second half of the 19th century, with upholstered needlework cushions and nailhead details. Gilt gesso on hand-carved wood frame. Needlework scenes comprise idyllic landscapes with figures, and cockerel. Some scattered chipping to original gilt, age related soiling to cushions and some damp staining. The cushions remain comfortable and supportive. Tear to cover on reverse side. There is slight separations at each joints but the furniture remains overall stable.
