Mid Century Modern Sofa & Chair Percival Lafer MP-211 Brown Leather Rosewood VTG

Mid Century’s Brazilian minimalist Percival Lafer’s infamous MP-211 Sofa & Lounger. All original with tags. Sofa is in very good vintage condition. Leather shows creasing commensurate with age but is not dried up / cracking. I beleive the legs are brazillian rosewood. They have held up nicely with just some evidence of wear / dryness at the very bottoms (bottom inch – most likely from floor cleaning over the years). Overall I’d say this pair has survived beautifully and are ready for a new home. Hard to find this set in the Los Angeles area. Lafer’s work definitely has room to explode in value. Measures 30″ tall by 36″ depth. Sofa is 7 ft long and Chair is 32 wide. Item can be seen in person at Urban Americana in Long Beach, CA. Open every day 10-6. Offers welcome through Urban. Solid walnut construction, beautiful silk damask fabric and original trim, medium walnut finish. One fabric tear at front of seat and loose trim (as seen in photos). Vintage Kenmar Modular Sectional Sofa. No stains, rips or other damage to the fabric. The foam is still soft and pliable with no hardening and no damage to the bases or table tops. Original receipt is dated 1969. Easily shift around seating areas and table tops to create a sectional that best fits your room. The longest section is 105″ long and 32″ deep. The shorter section is 80″ long and 32″ deep. The coffee table / foot stool is 31 1/2″ x 31 1/2″. The seat backs are 26″ tall and the seat height is 18″. This is the only modular sectional I have ever come across. The condition is near perfect! Past buyers have used uShip and Roadie with positive results.
