Fresh from a New York City estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this beautiful Vintage French Louis XVI Style Carved & Upholstered SETTEE or LOVESEAT. Quality settee, made sometime during the second quarter of the 20th century. Frame is finely carved and gilt in two tones colors. Covered in green fabric. The price reflects the condition, it is in good structural condition, however it shows heavy age / use wear on gold finish (flaking) and one molding missing (last photo). The fabric on the seat is stained, back rest is good, however the sponge inside is dry and should be changed. Size is great for house or apartment at 45″ wide, 38″ tall, 27″ deep, and the seat height is 17″ at pillow top. It is a very good quality example, re-done would look great, or with added touch of Mid-Century modern shabby chic paint would look spectacular!
