RARE LAMINATED ROSEWOOD JOHN HENRY BELTER ROCOCO REVIVAL SETTEE IN THE SCROLL PATTERN CIRCA 1860′s. The matching pair of Belter meridennes are in a separate listing of mine and yes they would look wonderful with this settee. Size: 65″ wide x 35″ high x 20″ deep at deepest point x 15″ from the floor to the top of seat. This is a fabulous piece of furniture. Very good condition with decent fabric. The rosewood is nicely figured. The scroll design is extremely elegant. There are a few old repairs to the scroll work as showing the most obvious repair. This is not unusual on a 160 year old piece. Notice the fine detail. Very comfortable and fitting to the body. Belter was the best of his “period”. This type of furniture was seen in the most exclusive parlor room in the home.
