Designer: Danish Art Deco Design. Material: Velour upholstery with Beech wood frame. Maximum Dimensions: Width 183cm, Depth 86cm, Height 76cm, Seat Height 39cm and Seat Depth 54cm. Condition: Excellent with only small signs of age related use, in the form of some light pressure marking. Description: An elegant Danish Art Deco 1940s 3 seat’Banana’ sofa. The sofa is upholstered in Beige coloured velour, with subtle contrasting braiding around the seat edges, seat and back rest. The profile of the sofa features a subtle curve, thus giving it the Banana name. Like the majority of Danish Art Deco seating from this era, the sofa is sprung underneath, and is raised upon a Beech wood frame. The sofa is also raised on four plain block Beech feet to each corner. All items are for sale elsewhere, so may be removed at any time. Condition: Excellent condition with signs of age related wear noticeably to the ends of the armrests. Description: Stylish piece of quality art deco furniture. Three seat curved banana sofa upholstered in dark gold striped velour. All the cushions are fixed with the base cushion being webbed, padded, and sprung. Designer: Danish Art Deco Design. Material: Velour with Beech wood frame. Maximum Dimensions: Width 174cm, Depth 98cm, Height 73cm, Seat Height 38cm and Seat Depth 47cm. Condition: Very Good with the only real sign of age being a small tear repair to the Velour on the seat base (see image). Description: An elegant Danish Art Deco 2.5 seat’Banana’ sofa. The sofa is upholstered in a Mint Green coloured Velour fabric, with subtle contrasting piping around the edges and seat base, and deep ribbed detailing to the backrest. The sofa is generously sized for a 2 seat sofa, but a little to cosy to comfortably be a 3 seat sofa, hence the’2.5′. The frame features a beautiful inward curve giving the piece its’Banana’ shape. Like the majority of all Danish Art Deco pieces, the sofa is raised upon a heavy Beech wood frame with a coil sprung base, with all springs intact and working perfectly. The Sofa also sits upon two turned Beech feet to the front and two block feet to the rear. All items are for sale elsewhere, so may be removed at any time. This modular sectional sofa is composed of eight modules with chevron / linear pattern that can be arranged in a variety of configurations. All seats are supported by conical walnut feet. The original velour chevron fabric is in excellent condition. No need to reupholster this time-capsule gem. Each module measures:L: 31.5″ x D: 31.5″ x H: 23″ (to back frame) / H: 27″ (to top of back cushion) x Seat Height: 15. No rips or tears.
