Vintage Ficks Reed 5 Piece Rattan Sectional Sofa. With all sections together it is, 9′ 6″ long, 33″ deep, 28″ high, and each section is 22″ wide. Set shows wear to rattan finnish, mostly on wrapping and the back of set. Fabric cushions are very good, with 1 cushion that has a small hole on underside. We consider the set to be Very Good Original Condition. Seat straps have been removed and replaced with plywood. Straps can be replaced, but set is very comfortable as is. 1950s Ficks Reed Bamboo Sofa, Armchair & Ottoman; “Far Horizons” by John Wisner. Great vintage set of Ficks Reed’s “Far Horizons” collection furniture. Designed by John Wisner and introduced in 1954, it features a heavy bamboo frame supporting woven reed backs. Brass sleeves on either end of the arms. There is a sofa and a chair & ottoman duo. In excellent vintage condition. There is only very minimal wear overall, nothing excessive and far less than normal. There are minor dings and marks on the frames, and one of the rattan wrappings on a back leg is partially gone. The woven reed is fully intact and sturdy.. The rubber straps that hold cushions will need replacing. As shown in the photos, frames only. Non-smoking, no pet home. Dimensions: Chair – H 26″ x W 27″ x D 35. H 30″ x W 76″ x D 35.5.
