This is an all original, 1950s, 6 strand pretzel steam bent rattan living room or patio set designed by Paul Frankl. There is no makers mark, but many companies produced this furniture using his design. Acquired from the original owner and has been kept in the same home for more than 50 years. Original vinyl upholstered cushions on all of the pieces and glass on the coffee table. · One piece sofa (not a sectional) with 6 removable cushions. 6 strands on the arms, 9 strands on the base. 78″ width x 36″ depth x 32 height. · Two chairs, each with removable cushions. 32″ width x 36″ depth x 32 height. · One ottoman with removable cushion. 21″ width x 21″ depth x 12 height. · One coffee table with glass. 42″ width x 24″ depth x 17 height. · Two side tables. 11″ width x 25″ depth x 20 height. All of the cushions have some wear and some of the vinyl has cracking on the corners. One cushion has a hole in the back corner and another cushion is splitting at the seams. Another cushion has a slit on both sides. All of these cushions have the pattern on both sides so you can rotate and flip them to find the best looking side. You could get away with this for display except for the one cushion that has a slit on both sides. Please see detail photo for damage. One of the chairs has the binding missing from one side of the back and the binding is scuffed on some of the other pieces, especially the coffee table. Please see detail photo. This doesn’t seem to compromise the integrity of the piece at all, though, and is mostly cosmetic. All of the pieces are rock solid, structurally. The rattan is worn and scuffed from years of loving use, but could easily be restored to like-new condition with new lacquer by a rattan specialist, if desired. This set has been in my family for 60 years. My in-laws bought it new in Japan in 1957 in Fukuoka. It’s in excellent condition-refinished and recovered in 1997. We are downsizing and want to give it a new life. We’ll keep the memories! It’s perfect for your porch, sun room, or den; and its here just in time for summer! This offer is for a fifteen piece set including sofa, chairs and tables. This rattan set is by Paul Frankl, according to my mother-in-law. The rattan seating, ottoman, coffee table and lamp tables are in the six strand Paul Frankl “pretzel” style, very heavy duty. Please note the pictures without the cushions this is the condition of all the pieces. The set was refinished in 1997 both cushions and wood. The covers all have zippers, so they can be removed for cleaning. As to the seating, there are two arm chairs and a four-piece sofa. There is a lot of flexibility as to how you arrange them. There is also a matching square ottoman. Please inspect the photos carefully to see what great condition these pieces are in. The set comes from a smoke-free home. 4 piece sofa (2 single arm chairs; 2 chairs w/o arms). 1 Kidney-shaped coffee table. 2 square lamp tables. 1 square corner table. 1 triangle lamp table.
