Antique 1800′s ” Victorian French Style” Houndstooth Loveseat/Settee. This settee has come a far way from when I originally obtained it. Once I was able to get the settee in my studio I began stripping it down to the main frame. The original framing then received some love through the process of priming, painting, and eventually sealing the masterfully carved wood. At that point it was time to get some padding and a beautiful fabric involved to finish the project. I was able to source a beautiful wool houndstooth fabric and BOOM, after some upholstery work the piece came together exactly how I had imagined it would. There is only one of the pieces being made so it’s safe to say that if you decide this aesthetic works in your home and or place of business, it will be the only one out there like it!
