Vintage Brown Jordan Rattan bamboo sofa couch mid century Hollywood Regency

Very nice vintage Brown Jordan rattan sofa couch with 3 seat and 3 back cushions. Brown Jordan label on underside. Classic Hollywood Regency or Palm beach styling. Golden brown rattan wrapped with leather. Sofa frame is 74 long. Back frame height is 28″ tall (with back cushions, 31″ tall). Frame height in front is 11.5″ and with seat cushions, seat height is 17″. Arm height is 21. The frame is in very good condition with only a few minor dings. There is one piece of leather strapping that’s become undone and needs to be glued/tacked in back. The foam for the seat/back cushions is usable but the (removable) cushion covers need to be replaced… They are soiled, likely beyond just cleaning. They will be useful as templates. The seat back cushions are rounded at the top but could be redone with a “boxier” dimension to modernize the sofa. I have an in-state California shipper who can provide rates as well. We got this sofa chair set from the original owner who is 88 years old and said it was hardly ever used in a formal living room since the 1960′s. It was in one of the cleanest homes I’ve ever seen and there was hardly any sunlight coming in so there are no fading issues! This was made by Union Bros Baltimore which went out of business in 1972. The upholstery is spotless with no obvious signs of wear. Cushion foam still seems good, very firm. Measures 84″ long, 32″ deep, 31″ to the back, chair is 27″ across From a non-smoking home – no pets either – no odors. Curiosity Consignment: 7860 Beechcraft Ave, Gaithersburg MD 20879. Gorgeous vintage Hollywood Regency style greenish-gold colored floral cut velvet modified Lawson style sofa with loose seat and back cushions, three casters in front, and two round tapered wood legs in the back. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. This is a marvelous, modified Lawson style sofa wearing a gorgeous velvet floral cut fabric with two colors of thread shaded in the fabric giving it a wonderful greenish-gold tone. It has stair-step arms; hence, “modified” Lawson style and holds three loose back cushions and three loose seat cushions all Poly filled and SUPER comfortable! Each cushion has a zipper which is convenient for times of cleaning and fluffing. It’s supported by three casters in the front of the sofa and two short round tapered wood legs in the back.
