Beautiful late 1800s Mahogany Victorian sofa settee. Amazing woodwork with carved claw feet. The bolster pillows under the arms come out. The sofa has been reupholstered at some point with a cream floral fabric. Has a slight small flaw on seat and theres a few small chips in the wood all shown in pictures but is in good condition overall especially considering age. Offered for sale is a Federal Empire Sofa circa 1830. Made of solid Mahogany, this sofa has all the grandeur of the early 1800′s. Rossetts and Double scrolled arm rest also with with Rosettes. The claw feet are adorned with cornucopias. In fantastic age appropriate condition, there is a hair line crack in the right arm, there is no looseness, this is a solid sturdy sofa. One toe is missing from the back footall this can be seen in the photos. The vintage green fabric is in excellent condition, I saw 2 light spots on seat. This is a very comfortable sofa, you can’t go wrong if you love the elegant look of empire. 16 inches seat to floor. Please remember that vintage items and antiques are treasu res tha t have been lived with and loved for ge nerations and will sho w signs of that love and use having minor imperfections and maybe a repair, which means the item has been loved and cherished for many , many y e ars. We are pleaseed to offer for sale a Beautiful Mahogany Butlers Bench circa 1840. This wonderful settee offers a high back and sides with a gadrooned edge. Acanthus carved columns with scrolled capitals adorn the front on both sides. Claw feet support the bench in front, while turned feet support the back. A drawer just under the seat offers a nice storage area. While not original the lion head pulls are nice cast brass. A fantastic piece for any home or office, this is a hard piece of Empire furniture to find. It is in, I believe, great condition there is some veneer chipping along the edges where the drawer goes in and out which is not uncommon on pieces of this age. The vintage fabric is a very neutral color and is in good condition with no rips or tears, it could use a light cleaning and could also easily be changed to fit your decor. The bench is solid sturdy and ready for another 175 years of enjoyment. Please view and enlarge all photos and see what you think.
