Description: This beautiful sofa features rolled arms with classic camel back sitting on top of three mahogany carved cabriole legs with acanthus leaves carved knees terminating in claw and ball feet. Sofa is upholstered in beautiful floral chintz fabric. Conover made furniture and upholstery in North Carolina, specialized in high end 18th century reproductions and their furniture was found in high end furniture stores. Also Conover was known for its high end fabrics. Condition Report: Good condition with some light scuffs and scratches as expected with usage, fabric in very good condition. Measurements: 37″ H X 74″ W X 31 D. Items are pre-owned and will show the usual signs of scuffs, scratches, wear and use. Upholstered items may have wear, tears and stains associated with usage. Antique Empire Rosewood three-piece Parlor Set. Gorgeous set with beautiful upholstery that is spotless. Awesome claw feet and brass wheels. This has been refinished and the Settee has had plywood installed underneath so it is more firm than the chairs that have springs. The set appears to have some marks on the backs from rubbing against a wall. This set is striking with its tall backs and highly curled carved arms. The settee is 52 inches long by 36 1/2 inches tall by 26 inches deep. The two chairs are 36 inches tall by 28 1/2 inches wide and 26 inches deep. The whole set weighs approximately 160 pounds. Up for sale is an absolutely fantastic oak loveseat that came out of a passenger waiting room in a train station. The piece has an ornate carved claw foot and the original tufted black leather back. The owner told us that her Father worked for the railroad for over 40 years and this loveseat came out of a waiting room in one of the stations. She was unsure of any more of its history then that. The piece will need to be reupholstered because the leather on the back is cracking (the seat was reupholstered somewhere in its history with black vinyl) and the springs need to be checked (sits low on one end). Unbelievable piece that we are parting with only because it does not fit in our new home (we had planned to reupholster it)! The loveseat is 37 inches tall by 60 inches long by 27 inches deep. Original Duncan Phyfe Sofa ” European Style with Brass Claw feet ” This vintage sofa measures 77 1/2″ length x 28 1/2″ deep x 341/2 height. This couch has 3 seat cushions each measuring 20 1/2″ x 20 1/2 “. The zippers are in tact and good condition. There are 2 matching detailed arm covers to slip over the rounded arm rests. I couldn’t find MFG labels and tags on this sofa. I learned many of the Original Victorian furniture that was produced during the late 1800′s and early 1900′s did not require a MFG label. The upholstery is a European floral pastel design with tones of blue and green turquoise, blushing pink and a very light creamy beige. There are 4 mahogany saber legs ending each with fine artistry brass claw feet. The framework also mahogany wood has hand carved Grecian symbols of acanthus leaves and scrolls. Duncan Phyfe came to America in 1784 from Scotland. He acquired his style from European fashions such as neoclassical. This couch gives you the perfect firmness and comfort to relax nicely! This dispute will be closed within 4 days after being opened and the item will be re-listed.
