Original Duncan Phyfe Sofa ” European Style with Brass Claw feet ” This vintage sofa measures 77 1/2″ length x 28 1/2″ deep x 341/2 height. This couch has 3 seat cushions each measuring 20 1/2″ x 20 1/2 “. The zippers are in tact and good condition. There are 2 matching detailed arm covers to slip over the rounded arm rests. I couldn’t find MFG labels and tags on this sofa. I learned many of the Original Victorian furniture that was produced during the late 1800′s and early 1900′s did not require a MFG label. The upholstery is a European floral pastel design with tones of blue and green turquoise, blushing pink and a very light creamy beige. There are 4 mahogany saber legs ending each with fine artistry brass claw feet. The framework also mahogany wood has hand carved Grecian symbols of acanthus leaves and scrolls. Duncan Phyfe came to America in 1784 from Scotland. He acquired his style from European fashions such as neoclassical. This couch gives you the perfect firmness and comfort to relax nicely!
