As mentioned this sofa is one of a pair, the second sofa with is a three seat version is listed under my other items and not included in this sale. This is a very finely made sofa from George Smith Chelsea and in the world famous Howard & Son’s style, this is pretty much the most. English model of sofa you will ever see. The sofa is made from beech wood and has a very comfortable coil sprung base with feather filled cushions, these are antiques of the future and some of the finest, hand made in England examples you can find anywhere. Upholstery wise my plan is to ultimately have this reupholstered in either Mulberry Flying Ducks or William Morris forest Linen, in truth I have so many other projects on the go at the moment I have decided to list this as is and let new owners chose the fabric, I can say the current upholstery is ok but not to my taste, the condition of it is fine but not 100% perfect, the feathers in the cushions are not as plumbs as they once were.
