Rare sofa or daybed model FD 451 designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France and Sons. Produced by France & Daverkosen in Denmark with the early metal badge most likely 1950s up to 1957. Identified and listed by the Danish Museum of Art and Design, model number RP15815. Material: Teak Condition: Teak base in very good condition / new upholstery. You push in the button (see photos) on each side and it releases the armrests, or sides and down they go so you can lay full length! Daybed measures H 30.5 in. X W 64 in. X D 32 in. We sell everything bought from estates directly to you. We do not restore anything. We reiterate that each item we sell is used, and by definition has various blemishes. Height 83.5cm Width 163cm Depth 72cm. Here is an eye catching vintage sofa. Traditional shape, carved details and cane panels. Lots of potential but in need of some tlc. Strong and sturdy, some small breaks in the cane but no large holes. Cushions are not present and is as seen in the images. There are chips and scuffs to the finish and corner pieces missing from the far left front foot. Material underneath is in need of removing or replacing.
