A kidney-shaped Napoleon III sofa raised on turned ebonised legs. In good order, stripped back for reupholstery. Please enquire if you would like us to arrange this for you. The original seat springs have been replaced with a foam stuffing – we have priced the sofa with the cost of reinstating a sprung seat in mind. 142 x 85 x 82 cm (55.9 x 33.5 x 32.3). Seat height: 40 cm (15.7). We source and list much of our stock in Normandy and throughout France. We are no longer dispatching smaller items by parcel courier directly from France to the UK to make absolute sure of this. An open-armed sofa in the manner of Louis XV with serpentine front. Original paint to the extensively carved frame. Structurally sound and recently re-webbed. Stripped back for recovering. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING. Antique American Federal carved mahogany Sheraton style sofa believed to be circa mid-late 1800s. Item features a finely carved solid mahogany frame, drape carved back rail with feather and corucopia central carving, rolling casters, gold striped upholstery, and down filled loose cushion. Exact age is undetermined but an image of the frame from the underside has been included. Age : Mid to Late 1800s. ” H x 74″ W x 28″ D x 22″ Seat height x 29 Armrest height. Minor stain to seat, image 8. Casters look to be a later replacement. Repair to second leg from front left which is slightly bowed outward, images 6 and 7. Image 9 shows the age to the wood frame from the underside. Professional repairs at upper arms. Please review all images as they are considered part of the item description. I have added many images so you can get the best idea of the items beauty and condition.
