Ribbon bow crest rare to find with a scallop shapeframe and canted form, held by very fine decorative tapered fluted legs. Veryadorable settee and easy to place anywhere in your home. This is a gorgeous set… The woodwork is stunning. It is old, but it is not 100 years old so I can’t REALLY call it an antique, but it sure has the look of one! Both pieces are in need of reupholstering (the satin cover is worn), but again, there’s not much you need to do to get two amazing pieces of furniture turning heads. The couch is 8′ long, 42″ wide at the widest part, and 36″ to the highest peak of the wood. It is 19 to the top of the seat from the floor. The chair is approximately 3′ wide from arm to arm, and 38″ at the widest spot and 37″ at the highest peak of the wood. It is also 19 to the top of the seat from the floor. A rather impressive two-seater sofa from the Napoleon III period. The wooden frame is exposed on the arms, back and legs to offer a country house look. The rear two legs take an enchanting inverted bow shape, as all four legs sit on their original casters. The wood has aged to create a wonderful patina which gives the frame a golden-brown complexion. The frame is in very good antique condition, still very solid, with nominal impression marks to the outer edges, as to be expected with a piece of its age. The pink upholstery is ready to be re-covered in your choice of fabric to make the sofa very personal to you. 60 x 125 x 84 cm. 23.5 x 49 x 33 Inches. Mahogany frame with 3 carved crests and standing on shaped legs ending in castors. Currently upholstered in a 1960s crushed velvet fabric. Material and frame staring to shows signs of age and use. Measurements: 56 inches wide X 33 inches high at rear with a seat height of 14 1/2 inches.
