Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for this absolutely stunning Rosewood and Satinwood 19. Century Swedish sofa with Howard & Sons style upholstery. A very good looking and well made piece, the woodwork is absolutely sublime throughout, the inlay to the back is very architectural and has a Sheraton look and feel to it. This piece has eight elegant tapered legs, the upholstery is Howard & Sons style floral, if you google Howard & Sons floral fabric you will see a green finish and a red finish. The woodwork is lovely, its been cleaned waxed and polished, there will be some losses here and there but mostly its in fine order. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE, we can have it delivered nationwide to include Scotland Wales and Ireland. French Louis XVI Style Gray Painted Antique Daybed Sofa, 19th Century

READ ABOUT OUR GALLERY. FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE PAINTED DAYBED SOFA. Circa 1880 Item # 911TCZ24L. A fine daybed sofa in the Louis XVI taste from the last quarter of the 19th century, the form is beautifully balanced with a generous overstuffed seating frame flanked by raised chair-back panels. The proportions are perfect, the depth of the seat countering the height of the legs and giving proper weight versus the height of the panels so that it is visually substantial while aesthetically light and streamlined. A gadrooned molding caps either chair-back panel flanked by inverted corners capped with finials of draped acanthus. The entire frame is molded of the solid with recessed panels and raised framing, this originally gilded though much of it has worn away. A beautiful gray silk damask with a central floral display covers the piece, the generous seat deep and comfortable. The entire daybed is raised over ring-turned tapered and fluted legs in the traditional Louis XVI manner. Note the attractive depth of only 26 1/2, allowing the piece to be a part of the interior without overwhelming the room. For anyone passionate about the French aesthetic, this is a positively gorgeous acquisition. 32 7/8″ H x 63 3/8″ W x 26 1/2″ D x 15 1/4″ H to seat. Condition Report: Early paint with later inpainting and refreshing, much of the gilding worn away or oxidized. Joint separation at one chair-back corner. Upholstery in fair-to-good condition with minor stains/discolorations, overall remaining serviceable. Very comfortable and supportive. All joints are sturdy. Welcome to our shop! Circa 1850s American Empire camelback sofa. Made from flamed mahogany with flared arms and beaded lower apron. Upholstered in a green and black jungle theme fabric that needs to be replaced. 19th Century French Louis XVI Cane Caned Settee Sofa Canapé

Here you have a French Louis XVI Caned Settee Canapé, dated; late 19. Serpentine molding surrounding the entire frame, canted back and curved profile, rams horns scroll arms supported by tapered fluted legs. This settee is completely caned, notice how small the octagon cane which is tightly weaved and distinctive to its age. Original muted gilt which is very favorable patina revealing some of the red bole. There is a wooden board that was built into the seating area for durability. Rare find any reasonable offers will be welcome. Expect normal wear considering the age of this settee, the caning on the center of the seating area is indented (see photo), and a couple of small side puncture on the caning, not.
