Color is more golden than larger pictures indicate (looks beige to me in those) so textile close ups are using flash and show color more accurately, as well as texture. Only fault is small crack in wood of front left chair arm (picture shown); it does not affect the structural integrity at all. Please ask any additional questions as needed. Lloyd revolutionized the wicker furniture industry by inventing a loom which could weave wicker in this case, man-made chemically treated and tightly twisted paper called fiber sheets. Many of the larger pieces made use of a strong wire core trim at stress points around which the fibre material was wrapped. This set is painted a light green and has very solid cushions with steel frame and steel springs in them. The cushions set into the seats and are affixed with screws to a steel bracket in all chairs. There is minimal repair needed and most pictures will show that it’s mainly paint worn off vs. I don’t expect this to last long, it’s a gorgeous addition to many architectural styles and would greatly enhance so many homes right here in Portland. Vintage 1930s Art Deco Mohair Sofa and Chair Set. In Beautiful tan Color. The Sofa Is 84″ Long; 39″ High; and 39 Deep with 3 Fitted Cushions. The Chair is 38″ Wide, 39″ Deep; and 33 High with 1 Fitted Cushion. This are in such excellent condition for their age that they may have been retied and reupholstered but it feels like the original Velvet mohair. Amazingly there are no tears to the upholstery in either piece, also no stains. There is one 1.5 hole in the couch interior as shown & the feet are scuffed- that is the only damage. Very comfortable and soft. The camera glare and sun makes some pictures look like flaws. The set is very comfortable and ready to use. You will love this really cool set that Screams Art Deco! Vintage 1930′s Art Deco Mohair Sofa and Chair Set. In Beautiful burgundy Color. Ornate Fruit Wood Trim on Arms and bottom of front trim. The Sofa Is 80″ Long; 33″ High; and 36 Deep with 3 Fitted Cushions. The Chair is 36″ Wide, 36″ Deep; and 33 High with 1 Fitted Cushion. Several years ago we had the sofa retied and reupholstered the base and bib of the sofa and chair in burgundy velvet to match the mohair. All of the other upholstery is the original mohair on entire sofa, chair and pillows. The Set Is In Very Good condition with normal wear after 90 years. The back of the sofa has a small L shaped rip and a couple of the back springs are a little tired (see pictures). But have no effect on the comfort of the set. Other small flaws are also pictured. The camera glare and sun makes some pictures look like flaws. The set is very comfortable and ready to use. You will love this really cool set that Screams Art Deco! This sale is for a original upholstered 1930′s, Deco styled sofa set. I have owned the set for almost 25 years. Set was ordered with sofa and low back chair in the dark red color, high back chair in the dark royal blue. Dimensions are sofa: 85 wide x 30 tall x 35 deep, red chair: 39 wide x 30 tall x 35 deep, and blue chair: 39 wide x 36 tall x 42 deep. I had springs retied years ago and could use it again. Fabric is cotton in a palm pattern. Fabric is faded from sunshine and time, but has no tears or ugly stains. Does show wear from age. Wood is in excellent shape, no missing pieces or cracks, some minor scratches from age. Set has a unique look that I just fell in love with. Time to let someone else enjoy it. Vintage 1930s 1940′s Machine Age Chrome Sofa And Chair Set Black Excellent Condition. Chrome sofa, circa 1930′s 1940′s. This is a very well made Machine Age or. Art Deco style 3 seat sofa and two chairs. This has been upholstered in black vinyl with white piping. The chairs are beautiful with tacking on back. The chrome is in very good condition with light marks. The sofa is fully upholstered on the reverse so it can stand on its own in a room.
