Mcm vintage Mid century modern Adrian Pearsall 1709-s sofa in good original. In the time I’ve had these I’ve replaced the main cushion but never the straps. There original and are in need of replacing. Still can use the sofa just fine the way it is. Just noting incase you didn’t want to refinish it right away. Couple of the small throw pillows have some tearing but can be turned around. Wood is in good shape with few blemishes. Will work with any shipper you hire on your behalf.. Also I have a second one available same color similar if not same condition. Feel free to ask any questions.

This stunning piece has been fully professionally restored with all new foam, fabric and straps. All the walnut has been professionally refinished with the natural finish. The fabric is a sophisticated grey with contrasting accent pillows. The armless design with built in end tables creates both a simple and functional design. Adrian Pearsall,’Platform’ sofa with two drawers, model 1709-S, Wool upholstery, Walnut, United States, 1960sAdrian Pearsall is known for his rather unique sofa designs. The’1709-S’ is no exception. On a low base of a thick walnut frame rests the sofa flanked with two drawers at the side. Ending on the same height like the seat the top of the drawer’s function as side tables. The seating itself shows a great, open character. With the absence of armrests Pearsall accomplished a flowing look with sensuous lines. Recently reupholstered in forest green leather that forms a great combination with the natural appearance of the wooden color and grain. In 1952, Pearsall opened his own furniture company’Craft Associates. Pearsall designed some of the most sensuous, gracious midcentury design pieces around, sharing many of the design aesthetics by Vladimir Kagan. His pieces are characterized by flamboyant curves, upswept shapes and stretched proportions.
