This stunning piece has been fully professionally restored with all new foam, fabric and straps. All the walnut has been professionally refinished with the natural finish. On a low base of a thick walnut frame rests the sofa flanked with two drawers at the side. Ending on the same height like the seat the top of the drawer’s function as side tables. The seating itself shows a great, open character. With the absence of armrests Pearsall accomplished a flowing look with sensuous lines. Recently reupholstered in forest green leather that forms a great combination with the natural appearance of the wooden color and grain. In 1952, Pearsall opened his own furniture company’Craft Associates. Pearsall designed some of the most sensuous, gracious midcentury design pieces around, sharing many of the design aesthetics by Vladimir Kagan. His pieces are characterized by flamboyant curves, upswept shapes and stretched proportions.
