This is a very rare form of Austro-German Biedermeier style of inlaid settee. The inlaid areas show pattera and pastoral scenes of the countryside. The settee will show wear to the upholstery as is clearly shown and the frame will also show wear as it is antique but the structure is solid and remains strong. The piece is a fantastic piece of antique simplicity that if suitably upholstered can become a chic part of your home. Dates to teh 1860-80s era.
