Four-Seater Sofa from 1960s – Midcentury Scandinavian Design. This black leather and rosewood sofa was designed by Knut Saeter for Vatne Mobler of Norway (often misattributed to Hans Olsen). A matching lounge chair is available in my other listing. Overall, the condition is good. No major damages to report. Please examine the photos. The leather and rosewood are all original and unrestored. Original down fillings have been replaced with new foam several years ago. The rosewood is in very good condition with some minor scratches and dents. No cracks or major damage. Structurally, the frame feels solid. The leather covers for the SEAT cushions are showing some fine cracks, and there are liquid stains in a few places. The leather covers for the BACK cushions are still in very good condition. The seat springs need to be tightened or replaced. The sofa measures 88 inches total length, with the seating area being 79 inches long. The back is 28.5 inches tall and the depth is 30 inches. The seat cushions are about 16.5 inches high from the floor. This item is in the category “Antiques\Furniture\Sofas & Chaises”. The seller is “jun29eb” and is located in this country: US.
