Gorgeous Antique Anglo-Indian “Blackwood” Sofa from the Bombay Presidency Period of India. It is carved and pierced all over with fruiting vine, gorgeous serpentine back and sides over a serpentine front drop in seat on splayed feet. This piece is typical of Anglo-Indian Work in the administrative subdivision of British Indian known as the “Bombay Presidency” Circa 1860 manufacture. “Blackwood” is the generic term for the dark hardwoods used in these highly intricate pieces. Its most likely Rosewood from my inspection and experience in rare woods in furniture. This is a super cool rare piece of furniture with Heirloom quality. The cushion/ couch portion easily pops out of a fitted ledge so recovering is going to be very simple and economical. This piece is one of our rarest and most beautiful pieces ever offered. Its Simply amazing and will be the center piece of any room. We will assign a qualified insured shipper to assure safe arrival and experience. Condition Report: Overall Excellent , no major defects detected. Wear Consistent with Age. Cushion and fabric in very good condition. Very comfortable No tears or stains. Here is a wonderful mid-century modern three piece matching living room set / suit designed by Adrian Pearsall and manufactured by Prestige Furniture a division of Bassett furniture. It is in very good condition with only a little wear on one of the ends of one arm on a chair. Very clean, colors bright and not faded. There is no damage to the wood legs or arm trim. Maybe a couple of light scuffs. The sofa measures 88″ wide at arms x 27 1/2″ high at back x 27 deep at seat. The tall chair measures 40″ high at back x 32″ wide at arms x 21 deep at seat. The shorter chair measures 31″ high at back x 31 1/2″ wide at arms x 21 deep at seat. 8549 George Nelson Sofa for Herman Miller, 1960s. A pair of Mid-Century Modern Sofas by George Nelson for Herman Miller. The sofas are constructed with a metal frame and square chrome-plated legs. The vintage sofas have original upholstery. The functional sofa set includes two walnut drawer end tables and two Formica end tables. Original paper label included. Signed Herman Miller to interior drawer. Good condition with age appropriate wear. Several spots to original vintage fabric, re-upholstery recommended.
