Offered for your consideration is a wonderful American Victorian settee with matching rocker. Lightly hand-carved of walnut in the style of Charles Lock Eastlake, both pieces are topped with a gorgeous burl walnut veneer. This set has been restored by a conservator at some time in its history. There’s light staining to the armrests of the rocker, but the restoration is in excellent condition otherwise. We have not attempted to clean the fabric. A few character marks are visible beneath the wood stain, but nothing is present that detracts from its beauty. The underside of each piece has been covered with the same fabric as the top, but one can feel by hand that the original springs have been re-tied. Both pieces are sturdy and provide a comfort level best described as medium firm. The settee measures 50 inches wide at the outer edge of each gently curving arm, 40 inches high, and the seat is 15 inches high. The rocker stands 40 inches high, is 24 inches wide overall, and is 33 inches deep. Please call or message with your zipcode.
