SUPERB BOSTON CIRCA 1830′S GRECIAN REVIVAL SOFA IN FIDDLEBACK & CROTCH MAHOGANY. With our compliments we are delighted to offer you this wonderful Boston circa 1830′s, Grecian Revival period sofa in both solid Fiddleback mahogany back rail with a cyma form, crotched mahogany detailing around its leg rails, massive super attractive tulip carved arms and super heavily carved large feet. These are straight off the truck photos and we have not had time to clean and detail the frame. After we do it will look like the day it was made almost 200 years ago. We do not see these very often at all and if you are doing over an Italianate or Greek Revival home this is the period accurate furnishing your require. The couch itself is great condition. It is structurally sound and its present upholstery is an expensive cut velvet that was installed by a top notch upholstery person. This is an unusually large sofa for a Boston made specimen of this period. It is seven foot long, 23 1/2″ wide (deep) and its back rail is 34″ high. Its seat height is 17 1/2″ high and its seats interior sizes are 70″ long and 20 deep. A wonderfully comfortable sofa unlike most antique sofa with straight hard backs.
