Antique J&JW Meeks Sofa Settee Stanton Hall Carved Rosewood Excellent Upholstery. Originally it came from the Chet and Liz Matthews estate. I no longer have room for the settee. It dates to the mid 1800′s – around the time of the Civil War. The settee has exceptional upholstery work with button tufted back and button tufted seat finished with a gathered band around the bottom of the seat. The fabric is in pristine condition in a beautiful gold damask material. This settee would be a great addition to any antibellum home in the south or stately mansion in the north. The settee is 63 inches across the widest point of the back. Depth is 33 inches and the height is 48 inches. This settee is in great condition. As previously stated, the upholstery work is extremely well-done! The frame shows only minimal signs of age and use. One back leg has had a chip that has been reglued. The fabric is in excellent condition (no damage, stains or odors). The glue joints are tight. All the upholstery buttons are present. The settee is located 90 miles north of Tulsa Oklahoma and 90 miles west of Joplin Missouri. This would grace any 1850′s era home in Natchez or Vicksburg which is only a day’s drive away from my location! No return after item has been inspected and picked up.
