These are pictures of an antique couch that we have owned since about 1983 that we will no longer have room for. The Chicago antique Dealer we bought the couch from said it was made in England no later than in the 1850′s. We are not antique experts and do not warrant that this is accurate. The carving at the top is original. The couch upholstery has some fraying at the front. It is physically in excellent shape and comfortable to sit in. First reasonable offer will be accepted.

This is simply a fantastic example of renaissance revival victorian furniture from approx 1870 62 inches wide 47 inches tall just stunning! The fabric which almost seems like some sort of silk (not sure what it is) is stunning, could use some cleaning maybe dirty in a couple spots no rips or tears, the frame is well carved simply wonderful work and original surface with great patina just he way you like it and wanna find it!

Made in 1926, refurbished back in 2010, I bought it in 2017. It was hand dyed by the previous owner, it used to be a pale Robin’s Egg blue but has now faded to more of a light Seafoam green, there are some uneven dye spots (not visible when the cushions are on) as well as some stains, though I think a proper cleaning would remove them (I did my best with a washcloth and laundry detergent). There are also some scratches on the wooden parts, please check photos carefully, from what I can tell the decorative wooden parts were all hand carved. Measurements: 77″ x 36″ x 32. This item came from a home with cats so please be aware if you are allergic! Please contact me if you have any other questions, thanks for looking.

One of the wooden adornments on the front bottom part of the sofa needs an extra nail to secure it better. My kitty cat scratched part of the upholstery on the left side below the right arm. I can probably meet you somewhere around the Atlanta area or surrounding cities. I love the sofa, but I need to replace it with a sofa bed.

Antique 1800′s ” Victorian French Style” Houndstooth Loveseat/Settee. This settee has come a far way from when I originally obtained it. Once I was able to get the settee in my studio I began stripping it down to the main frame. The original framing then received some love through the process of priming, painting, and eventually sealing the masterfully carved wood. At that point it was time to get some padding and a beautiful fabric involved to finish the project. I was able to source a beautiful wool houndstooth fabric and BOOM, after some upholstery work the piece came together exactly how I had imagined it would. There is only one of the pieces being made so it’s safe to say that if you decide this aesthetic works in your home and or place of business, it will be the only one out there like it!
