Vtg French Provincial Rococo Ornately Carved Small Settee Sofa Los Angeles Area. We are proud to offer an extremely nice estate furniture. It is simple, elegant, and classic all rolled into one. It is a perfect estate piece to gift or wonderful to start or add to your collection. Beautiful small French style carved 2 person settee. Nicely detailed floral, shell and scroll pierced carving. Rounded sides have a pleasing feel. The upholstery may be original and well done diamond tucked. Legs are cabriole style. The size is a little unusual. It looks wonderful on all 4 sides so does not have to be against a wall. It is an extremely beautiful and very well made item. This is an original piece made in America and not a later reproduction, although its style came from the previous centuries. It was probably made about the 1920′s – 1930′s. The wear is normal and appropriate to an item of this age. Wood shows some wear in the appropriate places. Some very light staining on the fabric. This may come out with professional cleaning. There are reflections in the photographs. Dont miss out on this really wonderful item! Width at greatest size is about 58 inches. Height is about 33 3/4 inch. Depth from the wall would be about 36 inches dropping to about 30 inches in the middle. The sooner you pay, the sooner you get your item. Otherwise, we reserve the right to re-list the item for sale. Let me just say: I LOVE THIS THING! I just don’t have don’t have this style in my home. So sadly this must go. What impresses me about this piece is the condition. This has been custom covered in white and blue print cushions. This looks to be in mint condition when you give this a quick once over. But there are just a couple imperfections. One of the round bolsters has some subtle orange-ish dots (see last photo). This dotting is mostly just on the one bolster. However, if you look and look, you will see that there are a few other dots here and there. But you REALLY have to be scrutinizing to see these. As far as the one bolster that is affected, you can turn this over to a side that looks perfect. I did not try and clean. The arm cushions are only sightly more worn. Have to look closely to see the difference (see photo # 11). Very clear that this has not been used often. Then cane-ing is perfect. I don’t see any issues with that. The wood is very good very good. There are a couple scratches here and there. But overall in awesome condition. But I can send more up on request. You will receive the Settee, with custom cushions that are attached with sweet matching buttons. You will also receive the 4 extra matching pillows. (the pillows on the ground in photos have a bag underneath protecting them from dirt in case you were wondering). Please note that I can send this Greyhound.
