These antique furniture pieces were made by Orazio Merlo. He was a prominent and well known furniture maker and restorer of antiques in Norfolk Virginia. He immigrated to Norfolk in 1967 from Italy and was a respected craftsman. This sofa, wing chair and Martha Washington Occasional Chair have 8 way hand tied springs and solid mahogany construction. They have been beautifully updated with chinoiserie fabric. They have all new foam and have impeccable upholstery work that was done by Upholstery by Ronnay in Norfolk.
