Swans on the either side below the arms, laurel leaf garlands on the back and sides. Upholstered in a soft moss green mohair. A unique bolster pillow, made of a rolled and tied panel of matching fabric. Finished on all sides, so it can be floated anywhere in a room. In exceptionally clean condition. The frame is without issue; completely solid. The fabric is immaculate. Non-smoking, no pet home. The piece measures appx. 60″ long, and is 26″ wide. Art Deco Mohair Furniture. They don’t make furniture like this anymore and to find them in this awesome condition. Is a rare find for sure. Excellent condition mohair couch and two chairs multicolored from the 1950′s in the Art Deco. Couch and 1 of the chairs is a wine color seating framed in a dark khaki fabric. The other chair is a navy fabric on dark khaki. 87″ wide and 31″ tall. The chairs are 43″ wide and 31″ tall. These chairs were made in Galax, VA by Sawyers Furniture Company. Both pieces show signs of wear in various locations but given it’s age I think it’s in good condition overall. The fringe is in good condition and gives it a unique look. The wooden feet have wear but are mostly covered by the fringe. A lot of the wear is in the higher traffic areas like the arms etc. The couch is approximately 81″, 35″ , 33 (LWH). The chair is approximately 42″, 35″, 33 (LWH). This is a pretty cool set of furniture that would fit really well into a nice retro setting. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Vintage 1930s Art Deco Mohair Sofa and Chair Set. In Beautiful tan Color. The Sofa Is 84″ Long; 39″ High; and 39 Deep with 3 Fitted Cushions. The Chair is 38″ Wide, 39″ Deep; and 33 High with 1 Fitted Cushion. This are in such excellent condition for their age that they may have been retied and reupholstered but it feels like the original Velvet mohair. Amazingly there are no tears to the upholstery in either piece, also no stains. There is one 1.5 hole in the couch interior as shown & the feet are scuffed- that is the only damage. Very comfortable and soft. The camera glare and sun makes some pictures look like flaws. The set is very comfortable and ready to use. You will love this really cool set that Screams Art Deco! Vintage 1930′s Art Deco Mohair Sofa and Chair Set. In Beautiful burgundy Color. Ornate Fruit Wood Trim on Arms and bottom of front trim. The Sofa Is 80″ Long; 33″ High; and 36 Deep with 3 Fitted Cushions. The Chair is 36″ Wide, 36″ Deep; and 33 High with 1 Fitted Cushion. Several years ago we had the sofa retied and reupholstered the base and bib of the sofa and chair in burgundy velvet to match the mohair. All of the other upholstery is the original mohair on entire sofa, chair and pillows. The Set Is In Very Good condition with normal wear after 90 years. The back of the sofa has a small L shaped rip and a couple of the back springs are a little tired (see pictures). But have no effect on the comfort of the set. Other small flaws are also pictured. The camera glare and sun makes some pictures look like flaws. The set is very comfortable and ready to use. You will love this really cool set that Screams Art Deco! This sale is for a original upholstered 1930′s, Deco styled sofa set. I have owned the set for almost 25 years. Set was ordered with sofa and low back chair in the dark red color, high back chair in the dark royal blue. Dimensions are sofa: 85 wide x 30 tall x 35 deep, red chair: 39 wide x 30 tall x 35 deep, and blue chair: 39 wide x 36 tall x 42 deep. I had springs retied years ago and could use it again. Fabric is cotton in a palm pattern. Fabric is faded from sunshine and time, but has no tears or ugly stains. Does show wear from age. Wood is in excellent shape, no missing pieces or cracks, some minor scratches from age. Set has a unique look that I just fell in love with. Time to let someone else enjoy it.
