Very elegant and comfortable Classic Danish Modern sofa by producer Mogens Hansen, Denmark. 1968 in supple thick brown leather. High quality top grain brown leather over a beech wood frame and legs. Cushions on top and back are filled with down. Nice worn-in quality with some age appropriate wear with minor scratches to the leather and scuffs to the legs. No major wear, holes or tears to the leather. Great addition to any collection. Condition report: Very good condition. Some minor wear to arms and bottom cushions otherwise mint. A stunning sofa designed by Børge Mogensen for Fredericia A/S. One of Mogensen’s masterpieces, this 1963 Danish sofa is still very cosmopolitan over 50 years after it’s creation. It has been gracing the interiors of embassies, households and organizations worldwide ever since. It is super comfortable to sit in thanks to the down filled cushions. It is a very high quality piece of furniture and is constructed of the best materials available. The slightly curved solid mahogany legs are simply gorgeous and are reminiscent of Mogensen’s professor and mentor Kaare Klint’s #6092 sofa. They help give the sofa its modern aesthetic. The leather is in good condition and has a wonderful patina that only years of use can create. An awesome sofa for any modern environment. If you’re looking for perfect leather, then this is not the sofa for you, but if you’re looking for a perfectly distressed leather, then this one meets that criteria. SOFA FROM THE 1960S, STOUBY’S “EVA” LOVESEAT FEATURES BLUE SAPPHIRE (dark blue). LEATHER UPHOLSTERY AND SOLID BEECH WOOD LEGS. THE CUSHIONS ARE ALL.
