This is an Antique Arts & Crafts Karpen Settle from the early 1900′s. This is a beautiful and comfortable settle that has nice cutouts on both sides. These cutouts do not have any cracks, whereas most cutouts in antique furniture are cracked. This settle has a beautiful design and a good selection of oak. The original finish is in good condition and the settle does not have any knicks or gouges and is a great looking settle. This seat has a series of springs which make it one of the most comfortable Arts&Crafts settles that you will find. The seat of this settle has been recovered with a top quality black hand-rubbed leather filled with cotton and hair. (Not Cheap Foam) The seat is on top of a cotton webbing and not cheap plywood like you see most dealers use. We use a very high-quality leather from Germany and if you compare our seats to the other dealers you will see the difference. We try and make the furniture as time period correct as we can and also we make the seats very comfortable.
