Carved Fruitwood Vintage Wing Back 3 Cushion Sofa, Tufted Leather, Italy #28987. A wingback sofa was carved of solid fruitwood in Italy about 30 years ago, the tufted leather upholstery is soft and supple with brass nailhead trim and very little wear. Soft cushions are zippered on this vintage furniture. The original finish is in very fine condition with only minor mars. There is an area on the tufted front of the left back that is slightly wrinkled, see photos. Measurements are 75″ wide, 37″ deep, 42″ tall and seat cushions are 18″ high. From the 1900 era this Baroque styled curved sofa features ornate carved arms and base Completely refurbished this one of a kind set features high end silk hand loomed Karastan chenille designer fabric on the cushions that are all reversible to Lee Joffa Duralee cheetah print with a double contrast welt. Ive never seen furniture this ornate with springs in both the cushion and the frame- when refurbishing this set, i had my upholsterer reset the springs for heigth and comfort. These pieces feature springs in the cushions AND frames. The club chair has a velvet back and the sofa has the leopard cheetah back. The teak has been stained and sealed with a high gloss finish. This furniture is hand made and remarkably HEAVY. If you are looking for grand style this is show stopping Hollywood design, absolutely gorgeous furniture. Throw pillows are NOT included.
