Beautiful Mid Century Modern Drexel Heritage Gold Velvet. 4 Piece Living Room Set. This set includes the sofa, matching pair of chairs, and footstool. Gold Velvet – Springs – Well Made Furniture. Made by Drexel Heritage Furniture Company. Made in the USA – circa 1970′s. Sofa – 61″ Length, 26″ High, and 33 Deep. The seat height is 17. Pair of Chairs – 26″ High, 26″ Across, and 28 Deep. The seat height is 16 1/4. Footstool – 27″ Long, 18″ High, and 18 Deep. This set is in Very Nice Pre-owned Condition with some minor wear as shown. There are no breaks or repairs. Sturdy – No Structural Issues. Age appropriate wear as shown – extremely well kept. There are 2 tears (3.75″ and 1″) in the same chair. As shown in last 2 photos. This sofa is part of a suite, I have two of these which are matching and a very large full sized ottoman which is large enough for all people on both sofas to use. This item is only for the piece listed, the others are under my other items. This sofa has a lovely heritage aged look to the leather, its very nice and has a gentlemans club feel to it. The leather is soft to touch and very comfortable to sit on. We have cleaned waxed and polished it all over, there will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there, some sun fading, nothing you wouldnt expect from normal use, mostly its in stunning condition as you can see from the pictures. Rare Vintage 1950′s Heritage Mid Century Modern Sofa manufactured in High Point NC finished in a Carrot color with an Old French Fruitwood finish that curves from one end to the other. Less than an inch shy of 8 feet long, this ultra stylish high end sofa appears to have it’s original Muslin undercover and deluxe haired Dacron pillows. This could be the centerpiece for any room. This was a very high end , well built High Point NC manufactured sofa that will still outlast most of what is manufactured today. This is the only one I have ever seen in this style and color. An eye stopper and statement piece in every way. Afterall it’s a Drexel Heritage and they don’t even make furniture quite of this caliber anymore. Just decided to reduce price less than 24 hours after listing! Staining underneath one cushion and not. NOT on the cushion itself and tiny smudge of mascara on one of the side top of the cushions that is hard to find. One might say condition commensurate with age but this silk damask partially down filled sectional is pretty darn impressive and amazing condition for being from the 80′s. From a smoke-free and pet-free home. Very well cared and one family-owned. 1 rounded corner (60″ x 60″). 1 short (28″ x 38″). 1 left end (38″ x 60″). 1 right end (38″ x 60″). Height of back 29. The sofa is upholstered with thick premium 100% cattle hide untreated plain russet leather originally, this method of upholstery is substantially more expensive than using predyed leather, you can still have the best English Chesterfields made in this manor today. The way you can tell the piece is an original hand dyed Chesterfield is by pulling back the folds of leather, in the crease you will see the natural colour of the hide, these sofas are made with plain leather and then hand dyed to the customers specific colour choice, no two pieces are ever exactly the same and this process goes back hundreds of years. All in all this is basically the best of the best colour patina and finish wise, if youre looking for the best then look no further!
