VINTAGE DANISH MID CENTURY 2 SEATER SOFA BY ANDREAS HANSEN. Made in Denmark by Brodrene Andersen and designed by Andreas Hansen, this is a beautiful vintage Danish classic 2 person sofa which is upholstered in soft cognac leather, the sofa comes with loose cushions on the seat and back, featuring a beautiful cherry slated frame complete with the maker’s stamp. We also have a matching 3 seater sofa, please view my other listings for details. Very comfortable and in excellent vintage condition, the leather has recently been cleaned and treated. A Mid Century Teak Sofa by Ole Wanscher for France & Daverkosen. An early two seater sofa in lacquered teak by Danish designer Ole Wanscher for France & Daverkosen in the early 1950s, model number FD 109. A beautiful piece of design, simple and elegant lines to the teak frame which has aged nicely with great colour and patina. The seat cushions have been replaced and reupholstered in a dark red wool and 50s inspired stripy fabric in keeping with the era, adding a nice contrast to this Ole Wanscher sofa. Excellent original condition, the wood has been cleaned and polished and the new cushions have been upholstered in fine quality fabric, so they will look great in any interior. H 79 x W 131 x D 77 cm Seat Height 40 cm. The showroom is based in North London, 2 minutes walk from Seven Sisters Tube Station. The top surface of the leather shows rich grain throughout. The frame of the sofa sits upon solid ebonized oak wood. Condition report: Very good condition. Very minimal wear to the ebonized oak legs. A Swedish Mid Century Sofa in Velvet, 1950s. A beautiful mid century sofa newly reupholstered in blue grey velvet with gros grain trimmings and buttons. A lovely piece of design the rare mid century sofa was originally retailed by Levy Carlssons Mobelaffar and shown at the Önskehems Stockholm furniture exhibition in 1952. Characteristic of design from this period simple and elegant adhering to modernist principles, but a loosening of the rigid forms of earlier in the century more organic soft flowing curves are included to give great sculptural effect. A beautiful mid century sofa reupholstered in a lush blue grey cotton velvet with with lighter blue trimmings that really lift the piece, A amazing piece of Swedish design from this period.
