THIS SOFA IS UPHOLSTERED WITH RED VELVET BUT PROBABLY NEEDS TO BE RE-UPHOLSTERED. THE VELVET IS FADED AND THERE IS A 3/4 TEAR. THE BOTTOM PART HAS DAMAGE TO THE VENEER. BUT THIS APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL-IT WAS CONSIDERED AN ANTIQUE WHEN ME FAMILY ACQUIRED IT IN 1940. THE “BONES” ARE GOOD. FIVE FEET IN LENGTH. This a beautiful hand-carved full-size Victorian-style sofa. The upholstery is ivory with a lovely flower print. Upholstery is in perfect condition. This piece features beautifully hand-carved scroll work in the walnut wood along the arms of the couch as well as a hand-carved floral pattern along the top of the couch back. There are some scuffs the the feet and very few to scroll work on the front of the arms (pictured).
