Empire Antique 1825 Sofa, New Mohair Upholstery, Ebonized Finish #31416. A classic Empire period sofa from about 1825 was carved of solid mahogany with lion paw feet and cornucopia or horn of plenty motifs. Completely restored, new upholstery is genuine natural mohair with nickel nail head trim and matching bolster pillows. The new satin ebony finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. Reglued to serve another generation, the sturdy frame is tight and strong and the seat is comfortable. Regency Recamier Chaise Lounge Daybed Wood Finish c 1820. Wonderful lines on this English chaise lounge. Soft mellow finish on the wood portions. Turned legs with raised rings. HEIGHT 32 (81 cm). WIDTH 78 (198 cm). DEPTH 27 (69 cm). Fine Regency Recamier chaise lounge or daybed of English origin and in the Empire style. This is a stunningly beautiful and very rare piece handcrafted in the 19th century. Rounded “S” scrolled head neck and foot rest, scrolled feet, the seat cushion is done is deep green. Seat and inside side pillows are upholstered with welts. This Recamier represents the highest taste of style and is a wonderfully versatile piece. Patina and wear excellent for age. The chaise made to be used in the center of a room with a finished front and back making this chaise more desirable. This added feature of the finished back providing multiple choices for placement: such as, a room divider whether you are a modernist or traditionalist. These beautiful settees probably date from the 1910′s… They are gorgeous, with very pretty carving, and the original finish. They have been recovered in a very classic, neutral taupe linen. The springs and foam are all new, and professionally upholstered. They would be great in a living room or bedroom… A library would be amazing… Or as seating in an entrance way. The upholstery is in good, but not perfect shape. There is some abrasion, but no stains. They have just been professionally cleaned. They were used in a home that included two medium dogs… There is no canine related damage, but if you have allergies… I can most likely find a shipper for you and provide you with a quote.. Louis XVI Style Antique 1910 Settee, Gold Leaf Finish, France #28603. An elegant settee was hand carved in France about 1910 in the Louis XVI manner, and has its original well worn gold leaf finish with lots of touchups over the last 100 years. Sateen upholstery has some scuffs plus small spots, see photos, but is certainly serviceable. Springs are comfortable on this antique salon furniture.
