Chaise Lounge French Louis XV Vintage Hand Crafted in Blue

Elegant Chaise Lounge Vintage French Louis XV, Beautiful Blue “Butterfly” Pattern. The chaise lounge features a unique engraved / carved woodwork frame with six support legs. The fine woodwork features a lightly “flyspecked” finish giving it a unique aged appearance. The upholstery is blue with a rare butterfly pattern in the fabric. It has been a decorative piece of furniture in our home with very little use over the years so it is still in excellent condition. There have been no repairs or modifications to this furniture and it has been inside an air conditioned / heated home since it was new. The only reason we are not keeping this couch for ourselves is that we could not get it through our 1929 doorways! It has a tall seat back which makes it feel de luxe, the springs are springy and even, and the cushions feel new. Soft, soft to the touch. There are a few minor discolorations in the upholstery, the skirt on front corner has some scuff/tear as pictured, and upper corner on the back has a scuff, also pictured. READ ABOUT OUR GALLERY. A RARE MODEL L-10 2-PART SOFA BY PIERRE GUARICHE. France, circa 1960s, unmarked Item # 908LHP24. A gorgeous and rare model L-10 curved sofa designed by Pierre Guariche, the present example features a delightful blue covering over black enameled iron frame. It is built in two parts to allow a variety of situations, either as a singular unit or divided – perhaps with a side table placed between the two. There are sticker remnants to the underside of the frame where the manufacture label once was affixed, this set generally having been produced by Airborne during the 1960s, but these labels have since been removed. Rich, exciting and an exceptional blend of form with comfort, this is a very fun piece that brings life to a room. 86 1/2″ W (at front corners), 127 1/2″ W (at back corners) [combined]; 43″ W (at front corners), 66″ W (at back corners) [individually]; 29″ H x 32 1/2″ D x 17 5/8 H to seat (depending on where it is measured). Condition Report: Trace rust/oxidization to the black powdercoat of the metal frame; upholstery in good condition with no notable flaws/blemishes other than minor use wear and mellow fading; extremely comfortable and sturdy; missing a few screws from underneath frame.
