Our Stock # 18.6030. This is a vintage canapé sofa in Louis XV taste. A French, beech and velour two-tone sofa dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930. Displaying a desirable aged patina and use commensurate with its age. Gilded foliate detail adorns the upper and lower frame. Bi-colour black and orange velour textile in lightly worn condition – would welcome recovering. Offering supportive and comfortable seating – robust upholstery with springing in good order. Useful seat height at 40cm (15.75″) and a depth of 57cm (22.5″). Raised upon turned, tapered legs with a foliate frieze present on each leg. This is a vibrant expression of Louis XV revival taste.
