Regency Rococo Victorian Laminated Rosewood Serpentine Sofa / Couch Circa 1840′s. We are proud to offer an extremely nice estate furniture. It is simple, elegant, and classic all rolled into one. Classically styled American Victorian Rosewood Furniture. Beautifully styled early American Victorian furniture. Wood grain of the Rosewood is beautiful. Middle top crest is a shell in between 2 finely carved flowers. The front skirt is a heavily serpentine design. The arm fronts and feet are heavily carved. Re-upholstered in the 1990s with a button tuck back. Has a spring floral tapestry fabric. Manufactured approximately in the 1840′s as a link between the Regency and Rococo Revival styles. Back height is about 33 3/8 inch. Width is about 82 inch. Depth is about 28 1/4 inch. Seat height is about 17 1/2 inch. Interior seat width is about 63 1/2 inch and depth is about 21 3/4 inch. Wood finish has been restored and is in good condition. Fabric is in very good condition. We are pricing it assuming that you may want to re-upholster it in a more period appropriate textile. Has lived in a barely used living room since prior restoration. There are reflections in the photographs. Don’t miss out on this really wonderful item! A good looking and well made chaise with nicely carved solid mahogany frame with floral detailing. The brown leather upholstery is thick and hard wearing, the timber is all solid. This piece has been left mostly original and untouched, we have lightly restored it to include a deep clean hand condition wax and hand polished all over. The leather has normal wear marks all over the seat base and the timber has a nice period patina. It looks really quite charming as it is. If the new owner would like more of a gallery finish I can have this fully restored to include a French polish of all the wood work which would lighten it and the leather hand dyed a nice cigar brown colour, for a cost please ask. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. WIDTH 78 (198 cm). DEPTH 27 (69 cm). Fine Regency Recamier chaise lounge or daybed of English origin and in the Empire style. This is a stunningly beautiful and very rare piece handcrafted in the 19th century. Rounded “S” scrolled head neck and foot rest, scrolled feet, the seat cushion is done is deep green. Seat and inside side pillows are upholstered with welts. This Recamier represents the highest taste of style and is a wonderfully versatile piece. Patina and wear excellent for age. The chaise made to be used in the center of a room with a finished front and back making this chaise more desirable. Regency 1950 Vintage Carved Mahogany Sofa. A Regency style sofa was carved of solid mahogany with an exquisite crest about 1950. The finish is in excellent condition on the tight and strong frame. Tufted upholstery is not worn, but there are some minor spots, see photos. American made vintage furniture, the cushion is zippered. Springs are soft but supportive. This is a remarkable and very elegant small Regency recamier chase lounge settee, circa 1920′s, features shaped padded backrest, with right side raises sharply in scrolled-form, the arms cresting outward in a nearly perfect cyma form , both arms curls outward in a tight swirl. The back is straight and elegant with slightly scrolled end, the apron centered with carved rosette. The whole raised on four matching splayed legs. This is a very delightful form, it was crafted by an artisan intimately familiar with classical lines, It is incredibly strong and elegant great for anywhere in the house, entry hall bedroom livingroom, for anyone with a Classical Regency or Empire bend to their decor and architecture, this unusually fine piece will be an incredible compliment.
