This Gorgeous Elegant Carved Rosewood Victorian Triple Oval Back Sofa circa 1865. This beautiful 19th century sofa is crafted in rich rosewood with dramatic and intricate carved details from top to bottom. We believe the finish to be original and the fabric appears to have been redone not too long ago, lovely neutral tones and is wonderful with no issues; only one small spot or two on the right side of the seat. This sofa is tight and sturdy and has its casters intact on all the feet. This sofa is in excellent antique condition with only one small chip noted in the frame on the backside of the top which you cannot even see from the front. This sofa would surely be a fabulous focal point of about any room! Seat width of 63 inches. Seat depth of 23 inches. Seat height of 18 inches. Feature here is a Gorgeous Gilded Corbeille Louis XV Style Settee Canapé, dated: early to mid-20. Brocade of rosettes continuing rounded profiles merging with rams horn scroll arms, loose cushion seating raised by cabriole legs and terminating with scroll leaf feet with decorative carved apron. Original gilt patina which shows some wear and revealing the reddish bole beneath Upholstered in cotton muslin fabric which is meant to be recovered and fabric is sheer with some imperfections (see photos). Condition: Normal wear common considering the age of this sofa, very heavy and stable. FRENCH PROVINCIAL COUCH Description. It has double removable cushions and claw type carvings on the feet. We are sure that some of the people looking at these pictures will recognize how wonderful this unique piece of furniture really is. This couch looks so MUCH better in person than it does in our pictures! Dimensions: Approximately 38″ tall at the center and 29″ at the ends of the back, 79″ wide 25″ high at the arms and it has a seat depth of 24. The seat height is 17. Condition: Fair to good. Solid with a great foundation. Comfortable to sit on. There are stains on the fabric which may or may not come out. Some minor touch ups will correct any of the marks on the woodwork.
