Mid-back is openwork latticework in the Bar Harbor design. Seating is made of closely-woven thin gauge willow osiers. Three-ply braiding outlines the entire piece. Six plied reed pineapple legs. New, custom, Parisian print back and seat cushions and plastic foot caps are included. Appraisal can be emailed to prospective buyers for review. The 1920s witnessed a shift toward Art Deco and wicker furniture manufacturers mirrored this trend by creating designs based on rational construction, simple ornamentation and geometric lines. Striving for harmony and balance of design, wicker companies rejected fancy Victorian designs and began producing pieces with conservative curving lines that were dictated by proportion and good taste.
