A 1950s La Gondola Sofa designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. This sofa with a solid mahogany bracket back, exaggerated curved arms, and floating open back is a true masterwork. The cushion with raised ends to mimic the shape of the back, is accentuated with yellow goat skin buttons and piping. The light blue Belgian linen lends a luxurious touch. Retains a portion of its original Dunbar decking. A unique sofa that very rarely becomes available. This sofa would compliment designs by TH Robsjohn Gibbings, Tommi Parzinger, Harvey Probber and Vladimir Kagan. 84″ wide x 30″ deep x 31.25″ high 18″ seat height. New belgian linen, goatskin, new foam, original mahogany frame.
