Vintage Mid Century Modern industrial steel sectional sofa and coffee table set made by the United Chair Co. In Leeds, Alabama circa 1960s. I’ll also be listing some amazing industrial desks and chairs out of the same building. It’s made in the popular style of George Nelson and Arthur Umanoff. It features an all steel frame, wood laminate tabletops, and upholstered vinyl seats. This is one of the most unique Mid Century pieces I’ve seen. It’s capable of being customized based on the owners preference. The four sections are made to where you can bolt them together in different positions. There’s two holes on the bottom side rails of each piece that are joined together by a metal joint and bolts. The tag is marked United Chair Co Div. Industries in Leeds, Alabama on the tag and it’s also stamped LAMCO on the bottom. The small side table measures 21″ deep, 22.25″ wide, and 15 tall. The corner table section measures 34.5 on each side of back. The green section measures 45 wide at widest point. The orange section measures 66.5 at widest point. The seat cushions measures approximately 21″ by 21″ deep and the back cushions measures approximately 21″wide by 12″ tall. The coffee table measures 45.25″ long, 18″, and 15 tall. There age related blemishes, scuffs to the paint on the frame. The vinyl seat covers have some slits/worn spots on corners and one small rip on seat top. This was partially disassembled for easier transport. The 3 seat section was totally disassembled due to the length. The cushioned backs are reassembled by sliding them into a slot then replacing one Phillips head screw. Each seat is held on with 4 Phillip head screws. The seats and back of the 2 seat section was separated from legs but cushions remain on the frame. The legs of the seating and tables were removed. The frame and leg sections use bolts for assembly. Two bolts were broken off during removal. You will only need a Phillips head screw driver and a tool of your choice for the bolts for the reassembly. Feel free to message for more information or photos.
