Victorian Antique Carved Rosewood Settee or Sofa, Cherubs, Needlepoint #43272. A beautiful Victorian period settee or sofa has carved cherub and floral motifs. American antique 1860s furniture. Hand carved of solid rosewood. Some slightly flexible joints, but frame is strong and usable. Older glossy finish in very good condition with mars & shrinkage separations from age – see photos. Removable cushions have floral hand stitched needlepoint upholstery from about 70 years ago. Frame has restorations and reinforcements on back side – see photos. Cane back is reglued down in places – see photos. On wheels for easy movement. Size is 71″ wide, 28″ deep and 50″ tall with seat 22″ deep and 21.5 high.
