Highly carved Mahogany American Empire sofa with neoclassical characteristics. Decorated with trailing acanthus leaves on the arms and rosette accents. The legs are paw feet with a finely detailed hair texture leading up to the head of an eagle. Imperfections will be pictured in detail. This piece is as solid as a Victorian sofa can get. No sagging, no springs sticking out of the bottom or can felt through the cushioning when seated. And the back is also fully upholstered to match the front (not dust cloth). There are no rips or tears in the upholstery but a few minor spots/stains and light fading near the edges of the seat. Please see detailed photos.
